WHAT’S ON

On the weekend of 18 and 19 August visitors to the Weald & Downland Living Museum in Singleton, near Chichester, can enjoy viewing a fantastic range of steam engines and vehicles. Ride on a traditional steam-driven carousel, dine on delicious food and drink in the food village, and listen to vintage music at the Museum’s stunning 40-acre site in the South Downs National Park.

Download the Vintage & Steam show programme and plan your visit!

A wide range of vehicles will be exhibited including: commercial and military vehicles, miniature steam engines, a narrow gauge railway display, model boats on the mill pond, Gauge One Group display in the Downland Gridshell building, a range of classic and vintage cars, and a large display of classic and vintage motorcycles.

Arena displays will take place during the day and traditional fairground organs will be playing.

Victoria the traction engine, star of the hit series of children’s story books “Victoria’s Torton Tales“, will be in steam and on display all weekend. Come along and say hello and take your photo with her.

On Sunday 19th the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, Portsmouth Region, will hold its annual club event at the show.

This is a really good event which we have attended many times, so if any members are interesting in attending this event, contact Barry and we can make arrangements to meet on the A31 as usual.
